Rebecca Nathanson is an award-winning independent journalist and a senior editor at The Week US. Currently based in New York, she has lived and reported in London, Paris, Montreal, and Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.
Her writing on politics, social movements, and the far right in the US and Europe has appeared in The New Yorker, Harper’s, The Guardian, Rolling Stone, The Intercept, The Nation, Vice, The New Republic, n+1, The Progressive, Teen Vogue, The American Prospect, The Village Voice, and more.
Her reporting on the French far right won an honorable mention in the 2021 Annual Writing Awards of the American Society of Journalists and Authors.
She has a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Oxford and speaks French and Spanish.
